Midrew is one of the few manufacturers of wooden fire-resistant joinery in Poland. We have enriched our offer with wooden fire-resistant windows for exterior use with fire resistance class EI30 and EI60, where E – is fire tightness, I – fire insulation expressed in minutes.
In 2020, we conducted fire resistance tests of our product in the Fire Testing Laboratory Gryfitlab sp. z o.o. , which gave us a very good result of fire resistance of wooden windows for 70 minutes and 22 seconds.
On their basis, we obtained the following:
- TEST REPORT NO. LBO-1441/20
- FIRE RESISTANCE CLASSIFICATION NO. LBO-1441-K/20
Wooden construction
Our window profile is made only of wood. Therefore, it was submitted to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in 2020 under the number W.129280.
Verified in terms of repeatability in the national and international base, which allows us to state that it is the only joinery product on the Polish market with such a construction with such high fire resistance.
Our product is intended in particular for historical buildings.
We also conducted mechanical tests of EI60 fire-rated windows in terms of air permeability, water tightness, resistance to wind loads and operation forces.
Consequently, we got results at the highest level in accordance with classification standards, and we obtained CLASSIFICATION No. 02324/20/Z00NZE.

Our windows are characterised by the quality of workmanship, details and fire protection conditions. There is an increasing interest on the market in the use of historical buildings for the provision of services, e.g. hotels and public services, but in order to meet the requirements, they must meet the conditions of fire protection, otherwise, they cannot be approved for use.
The vast majority of historical buildings must comply with fire protection requirements in order to be authorised to provide commercial services. Fire-resistant joinery of the EI30 and EI60 resistance classes that we offer is one of those elements that can help you meet the requirements for fire safety for windows.
